SFDA Temporarily Restricts Imports of Cattle, Sheep, Goat & Dear Meat and Meat Products from Bangladesh (Including Cold & Frozen Products)

Based on SFDA’s follow up of the latest updates of epidemic diseases at the global level, it is found, according to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) report, that FMD disease is continuing to spread in Bangladesh.

Accordingly, SFDA issued its decree No. (137/32) dated 17/9/1432H imposing temporary restriction of Cattle, Sheep, Goat & Dear Meat and Meat Products Imports (Including Cold & Frozen Products)
from Bangladesh due to break out of Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) according to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) report on the Website, advising of the break out of this disease in Bangladesh. Restriction of imports will continue until recovery of animal health and accreditation of meat productizing organizations of Bangladesh.

The Authority
