SFDA Issues Warning Against Certain Arla Protein Pudding Products from Denmark

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has issued a warning regarding several Arla Protein Pudding products, available in Chocolate, Hazelnut Latte, Salted Caramel, and Crème Brûlée flavors (6x200g packs) and produced in Denmark under the "Arla" brand. This warning follows a voluntary notification from the company, which has initiated a precautionary recall of specific batches due to the potential presence of small glass fragments in certain products distributed worldwide.

The SFDA confirmed that, fortunately, no reports of incidents related to these products have been recorded in Saudi Arabia to date. The affected batch numbers are:

ES26257001، ES26282001، ES26284001، ES26284002، ES26284003، ES26247001، ES26274001، ES26276001،ES26276002، ES26267001، ES26273001.

The Authority strongly urges anyone who has consumed the affected products and experiences symptoms, including throat or abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting to seek medical attention.

Consumers are advised not to consume the affected products and to dispose of them immediately. The SFDA noted that it has taken all necessary measures to ensure the manufacturer urgently withdraws these products from the markets. Voluntary recalls are a globally recognized practice implemented by food establishments under regulatory oversight to ensure consumer protection and food safety. The SFDA emphasized that initiating a voluntary recall does not absolve an establishment from legal responsibility for any harm caused by its products, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
