SFDA and the Saudi Center for Patient Safety Sign MoU to Share Knowledge and Foster Innovation

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the Saudi Center for Patient Safety (SPSC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today on the sidelines of the Global Health Exhibition 2024 in Riyadh, which will be held from October 21 to 23, 2024. The MoU aims to foster cooperation and facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
The Chief Executive Officer of the SFDA, H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, signed the MoU alongside the Director General of SPSC, Dr. Ali bin Tala Asery.
The areas of cooperation outlined in the MoU include exchanging data on safety events related to medicines and medical devices, developing and distributing educational materials to raise awareness, and sharing knowledge through training and education programs focused on quality and patient safety.
The MoU also covers collaboration in research, scientific expertise, and consulting. It includes the implementation of awareness campaigns, the provision of scientific opinions, innovation and research, and the application of emerging technologies.
The signing of this MoU aims to establish a foundation for integration among various government authorities, enhancing communication and cooperation to deliver reliable healthcare and contribute to common goals for the public good.
