A Strategic Partnership between Saudi Food and Drug Authority & King Saud University

Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) and King Saud University (KSU) have signed this morning, Wednesday, a bilateral Memo of Understanding between the two parties to build a joint partnership that would build an exceptional relationship that contributes to investment of the financial and human resource capabilities available to both parties .
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, CEO of Saudi Food & Drug Authority and Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al Othman, Director of King Saud University. The key business opportunities of the joint work and future collaboration between SFDA & KSA were reviewed during the meeting..
The Memo of Understanding included establishment of a research center under the name of “ Food, Drug, Medical Devices & Products Research Center”, sharing scientific expertise, execution of consultancy contracts and contribution to the transfer of technical and professional knowledge between the two parties in the areas of Food, Drug, Medical Devices & Products, through training, training sessions, participation in professional committees and workshops, as well as coordination of awareness campaigns and programs by the two parties in the field of Food, Drug, Medical Devices & Products and enforcement of appropriate and safe nutritional & drug behavior across the community
This collaboration comes as a natural result of the ambitious directives of these recognized institutions and to benefit from their shared harmonization and agreement in numerous research and development fields
