Professor John Lim is founding Executive Director of the Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) at the Duke-National University of Singapore Medical School, inaugural Chairman of the Consortium for Clinical Research & Innovation Singapore, Senior Advisor at Singapore’s Ministry of Health, and Policy Core Lead at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute.

Formerly Chief Executive Officer of Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority and Deputy Director of Medical Services in MOH, Professor Lim has also held other senior positions in Singapore’s Health and Education ministries. His current roles promote capacity building, scientific excellence and innovation for health regulation and systems in Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific.  He is a member of the Singapore Food Agency Board, Singapore Medical Council, US Pharmacopoeia Council of the Convention and Asia-Pacific Chapter Chair, Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative Leadership Group, and APEC Harmonization Center Advisory Board, among others.

Professor Lim has been awarded the DIA Global Connector Inspire Award and the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society’s Founder’s Award for leadership in promoting global collaboration, and shaping regulatory practice and policy throughout his career.
