Due to their potential contamination with glass fragments

On 20/05/2010G, corresponding to 6/6/1431AH, NESTLE has announced voluntary recall of a number of instant –coffee products from the international markets. The recall only included the following NESCAFE products:
- Alta Rica
- Alta Rica Decaff
- Cap Colombie
- Espresso
- Suraya
Packed in 100 gm containers only (See photos below), for ‘All batch Codes’ and dates ‘Best before End Date’ shipments, due to suspected contamination with glass fragments as a result of the cracks found in glass containers, during shipment and handling process, that may be hazardous to consumer’s health.
As a precautionary action, SFDA warns consumers, food stuff shopping centers, restaurants and food manufacturers not to use and immediately dispose of any of these products.
In the same context, SFDA is coordinating with the other involved authorities in order to take the necessary protective action to prevent entry of these products to the Kingdom’s markets, at one hand, and to investigate of their existence and recall them from the local market at the other hand.
