"SFDA" closed seven violated stores that sell medical devices in Riyadh

SFDA Inspectors in cooperation with police and the General Directorate of Health Affairs closed 7 shops selling medical equipment and supplies in Riyadh, for committing several offenses.

 

 

SFDA Explained in a statement, that reasons for closing these shops, are including lack of permits to sale medical devices and products, also small warehouses inside shops, with water leakage and high moisture which making them unsuitable for storage, and transferring toilets and kitchens to warehouses, in addition to the storage oxygen tubes under the sun.

 

SFDA warns about violation of medical devices control list of, confirming that it will not allow entry of any medical device or product to Kingdom or put it in the markets or use it unless it registered at SFDA and obtained written permission for marketing it.

 

The aim of these regulations is to protect public health in Kingdom through the application procedures and requirements to ensure the safety and protection of patients and users of medical devices and other health parties through the stages of manufacture, marketing and the use during its lifetime, and to take necessary actions and determine responsibilities to ensure matching of medical devices and products offered for marketing or use in the Kingdom.

 

 

 

SFDA invited medical devices suppliers to take advantage of electronic services offered through its website, including system for authorizing marketing medical devices and products, and system of importing medical devices and products permission, and reporting system for shipments of medical devices, and clearance system for electronic medical devices, and the system of electronic licensing for medical devices facilities. ​
