SFDA Closed Out Medical Devices Stores in Al Hassa

​SFDA inspectors closed out 3 medical devices and products stores in Al Hassa province due to their non-commitment to the grace period granted to them to correct their situation.
SFDA stated that its inspection crews have organized, in coordination with East Region Governorate, a field inspections campaign to inspect medical devices and products organizations and closed out 3 violating medical devices and products stores in Al Hassa province due to their non-commitment to the grace period granted to them by SFDA to correct their situation and to comply with the conditions and requirements that aim to regulate medical devices and products markets including possession of medical devices and products organization license.
SFDA captured a residential villa  in Jeddah used as a warehouse for medical devices and products wherein 1489 expired dental medical devices and products were found such as gum treatment device and tools & materials used for tooth whitening and implants.
SFDA also recently captured 17338 expired medical devices and products which are improperly stored in a warehouse in Riyadh. SFDA inspectors closed out more than 50 stores of medical devices and products in Riyadh and Dammam due to violations, in the last three months upon the surprise inspections conducted by SFDA to make sure that medical devices and products organizations conform to SFDA’s conditions and requirements that guarantee the safety and efficiency of medical devices and products.
