SFDA Warns about Herbal & Cosmetic Products

Within the framework of SFDA’s role of checking and verification of the safety and security of herbal and cosmetic products, SFDA captured some herbal & cosmetic products marketed by Al Bussma AL Thahabiyah (The Golden Print) Company. These products are not officially registered and promoted in the local market by false and deceiving medical alleges. SFDA has analyzed these products in its own Laboratories and found that these herbal and cosmetic products are counterfeited by adding harmful and toxic substances. Whereas these herbal products are not registered and marketed through promotion of alleged medical benefits that have not been verified to ensure their safety, security , efficacy or quality as well as their adverse effect on human health and the diseases that they may bring as a result of using them. Therefore, SFDA has addressed the concerned authorities in order to take the necessary actions to recall and ban selling of these products in the local markets and take the necessary disciplinary actions against any entity that sells, markets or promotes these products.

SFDA avails this opportunity to advise consumers not to be mislead by such false alleges, which are absolutely untrue and may be harmful to users and to dispose of any samples of these products. For more information about these products and to view their photos, please
