SFDA participated in DUPHAT, which was opened today, in its wing that provides information about SFDA and its role in ensuring the safety of food, drugs and medical devices in Saudi market. Also it organizes a conference for scientifically-oriented specialists in health on Monday morning at Hall C. The meeting aims to highlight SFDA role in the development of regulations on the Arabian Gulf Region, and safety systems and to evaluate quality and availability of drugs control, in addition to the concept of pharmacovigilance and its impact on public health, In the presence of specialists from SFDA, vice president of medicine sector, Dr. Ibrahim Juffali talked about regulating pharmaceutical market in Saudi Arabia, senior pharmacists Battal Albatall inspect the role of SFDA in monitoring the quality, safety and availability of drugs, along with Maher Al-Jasser major pharmacists in regulatory affairs for regulation of medicines in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries, and Ibrahim Al Habib Director of the Product Evaluation Department to assess pharmacist products with all the required data to evaluate the active ingredients in the pharmaceutical. The Conference will be officially recognized by 5 hours of continuing education from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
