SFDA Holds Bilateral Meetings with Similar Regulatory Authorities in Ireland

His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey held today, Tuesday a number of meetings with similar regulatory authorities, on the sidelines of its official visit to the Republic of Ireland to attend the 4th Meeting of International Heads of Food Agencies Forum (IHFAF).
His Excellency, and his accompanying delegation, met with the Deputy Director General of the New Zealand Food Safety (NZFS) of the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industry (MPI), Mr. Vincent Arbuckle.
During the meeting, they reviewed the regulatory system for both sides, and discussed the local priorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding food safety, food security and food waste. They also reviewed the experience of the New Zealand side in harmonizing laboratory testing practices and reporting on antimicrobial resistance.
H.E. Dr. Aljadhey and his accompanying delegation met with the CEO of the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), Dr. Tan Lee Kim.
During the meeting, they exchanged knowledge and information on new food sources and reviewed the regulatory system for both sides
Moreover, SFDA’s delegation also held a meeting with the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR). During the meeting, they discussed opportunities for cooperation between the two sides, and reviewed the regulatory system of both parties with regard to food.
