SFDA declares that the  analysis result of samples of different lots of Similac Gain Plus 3 Infant Milk Powder , previously sent to accredited international laboratories specialized in the analysis of Clostridium Botulinum bacteria revealed that they are free from this microbe.

تطمئن الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء جميع المستهلكين أنه وبعد التحريات التي قامت بها الهيئة اتضح أن هذه المنتجات الملوثة لازالت في المستودعات ولم تفسح بعد من قبل الهيئة، وفي نفس الوقت تحذر المستهلكين من استهلاك هذه المنتجات الموضحة بياناتها أدناه  والتي قد يحصلون عليها بطرقهم الخاصة من دول أخرى أو عن طريق الاستيراد الشخصي، هذا وتقوم الهيئة بالتنسيق مع الجهات ذات العلاقة لاتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة حيال أتلاف تلك المنتجات، لضمان سلامة المستهلك.

في اطار جهود الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء في الرقابة على الاغذية، رصدت الهيئة من خلال مركز الانذار السريع للغذاء إشعاراً من الشبكة الدولية للهيئات المعنية بسلامة الغذاء (INFOSAN) بتاريخ 26/9/1434هـ الموافق 2/8/2013م، يتضمن معلومات عن تلوث بعض منتجات بودرة حليب أطفال سيملاك غين بلس (Similac Gain Plus) للأطفال من عمر سنة إلى ثلاث سنوات، المنتجة من قبل

produced, from different production dates , to determine whether they comply with the GCC Standard Specifications No. (1025/2009- Potable Drinking Water) which specified the maximum allowed limit of Bromate at (10ppm). The results of laboratory analysis of ”Dunya” potable drinking water samples, produced by “Wadi Al Heniyah Factory for Health Water” in Al Kharj Province revealed that these samples exceeded the maximum allowed limits referred to above.

FDA has recently collected samples of a number of potable drinking water which are locally produced, from different production dates , to determine whether they comply with the GCC Standard Specifications No. (1025/2009- Potable Drinking Water) which specified the maximum allowed limit of Bromate at (10ppm). The results of laboratory analysis of the water samples revealed that these samples exceeded the maximum allowed limits, as follows:
1. Jibal Mana’a Water, produced by Jibal Mana’a Factory
2. Yanbu Al Aflaj Water, produced by Yanbu Al Aflaj Factory

أوضحت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء و فقاً للمعلومات الواردة اليها عن احتواء مسحوق حليب الأطفال الذي تنتجه عدة شركات صينية على مادة الميلامين والمسببة للفشل الكلوي للأطفال، وذلك ما أكدته الحكومة الصينية حيث أدى ذلك لظهور الآلاف من حالات حصى الكلى لدى الأطفال (وهي حالة نادرة في هذه الفئة العمرية، كما أكدت ذلك تقارير منظمة الصحة العالمية WHO التي أشارت إلى أن ذلك قد يؤدي للفشل الكلوي الذي قد ينتهي بالوفاة –حيث سجلت الجهات المختصة حدوث ثلاث حالات وفاة لأطفال بالصين حتى الآن نتيجة لذلك.

In accordance to received information to the SFDA, Novalac, a French Company, had withdrawn its baby powder milk after the infection of eight babies with Salmonella. The product is being sold in pharmacies in France from the beginning of July and the polluted amount reaches 4500 boxes full of powder milk packs expired in 18th of July, 2011.
The SFDA contacts international authorities to have more information about this product and procedures might be done in need.

FDA stated that Nestle has recalled all varieties of prepackaged, refrigerated Toll House cookie dough due to the risk of contamination with E. coli O157:H7 (a bacterium that infects colon and causes food borne illness) according to preliminary investigations conducted by the FDA and CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). The FDA added that there have been 66 reports of illness across 28 states. Twenty-five persons were hospitalized and no one has died.

According to what has been published on the SFDA website about Nestle Toll House Prepackaged Refrigerated Cookie Dough Products; which have been recalled from the American markets due to contamination with E. coli O157:H7 (a bacterium that infects colon and causes food borne illness), and to pursue new news about this issue, the SFDA received a notification from Nestle; clarifying that these products entered the Kingdom and available in large retail markets.

حذرت هيئة المواصفات الغذائية البريطانية من أغذية الأطفال التي تنتجها شركة هينز (Heinz) وذلك في تاريخ 24-7-2009 الموافق 2/8/1430 هـ، وقد صدر هذا التحذير بعد ما قامت الشركة المنتجة بالتحذير من استخدام أغذية أطفال (مكرونة) للفئة العمرية من الـ 7 أشهر وأكثر، وأوضحت الشركة أن هذا التحذير بسبب وجود قطع بلاستيكية قد تتسبب في انسداد الحلق، وتحمل هذه الأغذية رقم الدفعة 9136 وتنتهي صلاحية الاستهلاك في نوفمبر 2010.
