The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) signed two memoranda of cooperation (MoC), on Monday May 9, 2022, with Princess Noura Bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) and King Khalid University (KKU), on the sidelines of the International Exhibition and Forum for Education 2022 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) signed today a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to enhance and activate communication and cooperation in a way that contributes to creating and publishing specialized and professional media content in the fields of health and food.
The MOC was signed by His Excellency SFDA’s CEO, Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, and the CEO of SBA, Mr. Mohammad bin Fahad Al-Harthi.
His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, affirmed that the role of the inspector and field monitor today is no longer confined to monitoring violations and issuing fines only, but rather helping and guiding business owners and facilities to correct and remove violations, adding that they are contributors to the development of the industry and attract investment.
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has detected 345 facilities for committing a number of violations of "SFDA" regulations in January, during its inspection tours that it implements on facilities under its supervision in all regions of the Kingdom.
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), during inspection tours in 2021, monitored about 503 violations related to non-compliance of facilities under its supervision with the precautionary and preventive measures to prevent the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
An Electronic system provided by the Saudi Food & Drug Authority that enables importers to submit a clearance request for Food & Drug products, medical devices, cosmetics and imported fodder and allows Certification entities to inspect products and issue consignment conformity certificates
