KAS Brazilian ambassador visited SFDA new premises in Riyadh, in order to meet with his Excellency Prof. Hisham bin Saad Al Jadhey SFDAs Chief Executive Officer.

The parties have discussed important means of cooperation between the two countries regarding the scoop of food.

Delegation of U.S. Department of Commerce visited SFDA in Riyadh and met His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Hisham bin Saad Al Jadhey.

The two parties have discussed the means of enhance cooperation between the two countries.

​In the presence of CEO of SFDA Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, the authority has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation with the Centre for food safety, University College Dublin, Ireland, in the fields of food and microbiological monitoring risk, whole-genome sequencing and biological information as well as exchange information related to food.

SFDA has represented by Dr. Saleh Aldosari, Vice President of Food Sector while the UCD has represented by Professor of Food Safety and Zoonoses, Séamus Fanning.

The Ambassador of Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, visited SFDA in Riyadh and met His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Hisham bin Saad Al Jadhey.

The two parties have discussed the means of cooperation between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in the fields of food and drug.

SFDA has renewed the accreditation certificate in the inspection of bottled water plants as a result of annual evaluation for the administrative and technical inspections according to ISO / IEC 17020: 2012 in the field of accreditation.

SFDA was the first government agency that obtains the accreditation certificate from Gulf Accreditation Center, after achieving the standards and requirements of inspection bodies in accordance with the international standards and accreditation requirements center.  

The Asian Harmonization Working Party (AHWP) has selected Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), to chair the Party's current session until 2020 after members voting.

Eng. Ali Al dalaan, Vice Executive President for Medical Devices Sector at SFDA, was assigned as Chairman of the AHWP for the coming period.

AHWP is one of the largest parties in the world, which specialized in global harmonization for medical devices.

New Zealand ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. James Munro visited SFDA in Riyadh and met His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Hisham bin Saad Al Jadhey.

The two parties have discussed the means of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of Authorities work.
