​H.E. Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal received at his office at SFDA Head Office Today, a delegation from South Korea headed by the Assistant Health Minister Mrs. Jing It Young. The meeting was also attended by H.E. SFDA VP for Drug Sector, Dr. Salah Bawazir where both parties discussed the matters of mutual cooperation in the field pharmaceutical industry. The Korean  part overviewed SFDA Requirements imposed on drugs to ensure drug safety, quality and efficacy.

 Under the auspice of  H.E. Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal  SFDA organized today a workshop entitled “How to enrich and detect Vitamin ’D’ in Food products, in coordination with KSU & Prince Metib bin Abdullah ResearchChair for Osteoporosis, at Madareem Crown Hotel in Riyadh.

SFDA, represented by Medical Devices & Product Sector, shared its experience in the field of management of business processes with BBC International Conference, USA. SFDA was represented by Dr. Saleh Altayar by presenting Medical Devices Sector’s experience in implementing the standard practices for evaluation of maturity of processes management and work out the corrective steps to improve maturity level and processes performance level.

H.E. Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal discussed today with the Ukrainian delegation of Agricultural Sciences Academy, headed by the Vice Minister of Agriculture & Food Policy, Mr. David Valerie, at his office at SFDA in Riyadh, the possibility of mutual cooperation between Okrainia & KSA in the field of food export and the procedures of Food Organization  registration  at SFDA.

H.E The Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal, received at his office at SFDA today HRH Prince Mohammed bin Khaled Al Abdullah Al Faisal and H.E Mr. Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Al Sarhan, Chairman of Al Safi Dannon, in view of the partnership between SFDA & the private sector in the field of safety of food, safety of drug and safety and efficiency of medical devices and products.

SFDA, represented by food sector, participated in the 8th Dubai International Conference for Food Safety held in the period 17-19 Nov. 2013,  under the auspice of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Governor of Dubai. The conference is considered an opportunity for those who are concerned with the safety of food at the local, regional and international levels.

A Swedish delegation, headed by the Swedish Vice Minister of Health Mrs. Lina Formerk visited SFDA yesterday. The delegation was received by H.E. Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almish’al. The meeting reviewed the mutual relations between the two parties, particularly in the field of drug and medical devices & products.
