SFDA Participates in the World Fare of Medicine “MEDICA 2012”

SFDA exhibition stand was launched in the World Fare of Medicine “MEDICA 2012”, Dusseldorf, Germany, during the period 14-17 November, 2012. The exhibition was visited by huge number of visitors, both in quantity and quality, who were able to stand closely on the advanced and easy services offered by SFDA to manufacturers and importers and its electronic services and systems. Several flyers were delivered to introduce SFDA in general and Medical Devices & Products Sector in particular. A film was presented featuring SFDA activities, efforts and objectives in addition to another film about the Kingdom’s progress in the various fields. Both films received great visitors’ interest. Many copies of this film together with SFDA introductory file were distributed as gifts to the visitors. The file summarized SFDA’s activities and provided requirements for manufacturers’ and suppliers to provide their products in the Kingdom. SFDA mission in MEDICO 2012 was headed by H.E. Dr. Saleh bin Sulaiman Al Tayar, SFDA Vice President for Medical Dives & Products Sector. It is understood that the umber of presenters reached 5200 from the various countries, including USA, Canada, Britain, Germany, China, Japan, Several European Countries, Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia in addition to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which was selected by the ‘ Medica Fair’ Senior Management as the accredited representative of the Arab Countries in this annual event. This selection marked the size and significance of SFDA’s Medical Devices & Products exhibition stand the remarkable number of visitors to the stand.
The Exhibition represented a good opportunity to show the high position reached by Kingdom, represented by SFDA, due to the support extended by the Government of The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques and the sponsorship by HRH The Crown Prince, Chairman of SFDA Board, Prince Sulman bin Abdul Aziz.
It worth mentioning that MEDICA, Dusseldorf, received approximately 130000 visitors per day, meaning that th e total number of visitors during the 4 days of the event reached half million.
