Denmark Crown Prince Visits SFDA & Signs a Bilateral Food Trade Agreement

H.E. Crown Prince of Denmark , Prince Fredric and the accompanying delegation visited SFDA Saturday. H.E. was welcomed by Dr. Mohammed Al Kanhal, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority who accompanied him to the SFDA Reception Hall where memorial photographs were taken and speeches were exchanged. The two parties then signed a document for food re-export between Denmark and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Danish Crown Prince then toured the SFDA offices & facilities during which he was briefed on the strict procedures applied by SFDA in the field of food, drug and medical devices.
The guest has also inaugurated a workshop about the international trade and food safety from view point of the Danish Veterinary & Food Authority
Afterwards, the Danish Crown Prince and his delegation departed SFDA Head Office and admired the high level of accuracy and safety of the protective procedures maintained by SFDA
H.E CEO of the Saudi FDA, Dr. Mohammed Al Kanhal, has referred in his welcome speech to the deep Saudi –Danish relations with regard to the volume of food trade between the two countries.
To this extent, The Crown Prince of Denmark , Prince Fredric said that two-thirds of his country’s exports are mainly food products, meaning that food products have significant role in Denmark economy, and added that signing of the Food Trade Agreement means that the Danish products guarantee high level of safety through implementation of strict and effective control regulations
