The SFDA Signed a Dealing Memorandum with King Abdulaziz City for Sciences and Technology

The SFDA has signed a dealing memorandum with King Abdulaziz City for Sciences and Technology to organize and activate the part work and cooperation between the two authorities, as they have the same high technical and researching basis as well as having several common activities and fields of collaboration. Some activities of part work between the two authorities have been substantially put into effect before signing the dealing memorandum.
The most remarkable feature of the memorandum is designating the most important fields of cooperation between the two parties, and they are:

- Exchanging information related to patents of drugs, medical devices and products, that are protected and registered in the City.
- Cooperation in fields of scientific researches related to food, drug and medical devices through:
- Programs of the National Strategic plan for Sciences and Technology.
- Mutual researches and teams.
- Having links with networks and databases of research activities, that are sponsored by the City.
- Taking advantages of Space Research Center potentials that belongs to the City, especially high definition satellite images provided by it.
- Exchanging information, documents and results of scientific and technical researches.
_ Coordination between the SFDA and the City to support, enhance and invest intellectual property in areas of food, drug, medical devices and products.

The signing of this memorandum goes along with the strategy of the SFDA, which considers cooperation with relative private and governmental authorities' one of its most important basics, and with supreme directions that motivate coordination and collaboration between governmental authorities in general.
It worth mention that the SFDA is making effort, cooperating and coordinating with several governmental authorities recently, as many duties are being transferred to it.
