After cognizant of what has been submitted by his royal highness the crown prince , the vice president of ministers council. the Minster of defense and aviation , the general inspector and the chairman of the S.F.D.A board of director about the S.F.D.A system And after examining the resolution of the state council number 5 dated in 5-5-1926 H \ 17-19 , the state council approved the S.F.D.A system by that attached form , and royal decree has been issued in connection . a
The main features of the system :
1- the main goal of the S.F.D.A is regulating food and drug control by enacting obligatory standard specifications for food and drug , beside checking and monitoring them .
2- the S.F.D.A inform the consumers about issues related to food and drugs by checking safety of human and animal food and drugs, safety of all medical preparations and electronic products beside accuracy and safety of medical diagnostic devices.
3- All duties and responsibilities related to: human and animal food and drugs safety, safety of electronic products, accuracy of medical devices standards and other duties that relate to the S.F.D.A responsibilities and done by other government authorities should be transformed to the S.F.D.A. Moreover, all decisions that interfere with this system should be cancelled and then applied after ninety days since publishing them in an official newspaper.
