Under the auspice of H.E. Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal , the 4th.National Week for Protection from Intoxication entitled :” Let’s Protect Them against Intoxication”  was opened by H.E. Dr. Ibrahim bin Saad Al Mehaizie  on behalf of Dr. Al Kanhal. The event was opened by a recitation from the Holy Qur’an followed by  Organizing Committee speech delivered by Pharmacist, Abdul Rahman Al Sultan who  highlighted SFDA effort in reviewing the experiences and coordination with other entities involved in Prevention from Intoxication.

 This was followed by HE Vice President for Drug Sector ,Dr. Saleh Bawazir speech in which he reviewed SFDA role in drug control, drug recall  regulations and drug tracking after release and pre-release processes. Afterwards,  HE Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal Al Kanhal, Chief Executive Officer speech was delivered on his behalf by H.E. Dr. Ibrahim bin Saad Al Mehaizie  wherein he emphasized SFDA endeavors in spreading awareness to cope with  knowledge and awareness developments. Finally, the speakers in the forum we honored.

It worth mentioning that this forum comes in its fourth version and addressed many topics such as clinical toxins between reality and aspirations, the role of the national center for drugs and toxins in awareness of the community,  intoxication in children, SFDA experience in Intoxication Weeks and finally the experience of using herbs and herbs alerts.

Moreover, SFDA conducted children awareness program through delivering shows and other awareness activities at Sahara Maul to make children aware of toxins damage. Invitations were sent to schools to attend during the morning hours and to the public during Wednesday & Thursday evenings.
