Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) received new guidelines from US FDA advising the importance of renewing the registration of local & foreign food organizations in FDA by virtue of the new food safety law, The new law covers food manufacturing, processing and canning organizations for both human and animal foods. Initial registration or registration update does not require payment of any fee, and registration will be available during the period October 1- December 31, once every two years.

Therefore, SFDA request all exporters and concerned authorities in the Kingdom to follow these guidelines and procedures in order to avoid any obstacles in delivery of their food shipments to USA.
