HRH Prince Megrin bin Abdul Aziz launches e-Health Conference activities and visits associated exhibition

HRH Prince Megrin bin Abdul Aziz, Head of General Intelligence and honorary chairman of Saudi Health Information Society launched today Sunday 18 Jumada 1, 1431 AH, corresponding to 2 May 2010 G, the activities of the “Saudi e-Health Conference 2010” at the Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh, entitled Health Information Application Systems in the presence of 50 leading personalities in professional health and scientific fields. Afterwards, HRH launched the associated exhibition, , viewed participating entities stands and visited SFDA’s stand where HRH was briefed by HE SFDA President about the services and e- transactions provided by all SFDA’s sectors that improved the level of service quality. Then HE SFDA President presented a souvenir Shield to HRH Prince Megrin bin Abdul Aziz in the advent of his visit to SFDA’s stand.

The Conference, which is attended by over 500 experts, researchers and people concerned with e-Health field from 30 countries from the Gulf and Europe, aims to increase awareness of the importance of health information technology and its effective role in improvement of productivity and enhancement of the quality of health services, optimization of health sectors’ resources, exploration of modern e-health trends and its latest technologies. The conference also aims to provide an opportunity for sharing information and expertise, view experiments and success stories in the field of information technology and e-Health services
