شارك قطاع الغذاء في المحاضرة التي نظمتها الإدارة الصناعية بالغرفة التجارية الصناعية بالرياض بعنوان أساليب التصنيع الجيد في المنشآت الغذائية, والتي قدمها الأستاذ الدكتور حمدي عبد الهادي، أستاذ علوم الأغذية – جامعة القاهرة، يوم الاثنين الموافق 19/3/1427هـ.
CODEX is holding regular meetings for the following committees: CODEX Committee on Food Additives & contaminants in 24\4\2006; CODEX Committee on Food Labeling in 1\5\2006; CODEX Committee on Residues of Veterinary Drugs in Food in 8\5\2006. The committees will discuss several points regarding latest developments, specifications, and categorizations for these matters.
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority participated in the First Food Safety Regulatory Forum which was held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from June 4- 7 2006. The SFDA was represented by Dr. Ibrahim Saad Al-Mohizea, Vice President for food affairs and a number of specialists from Food Sector, SFDA. The forum was organized by the U.S Office of Global Health Affairs in the American Embassy in Bahrain. Many issues concerning food safety regulations in the USA were discussed.
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority participated in the Food Safety management Systems workshop (ISO 22000), which was held in Dubai on the 18th and 19th of June, 2006. Dr. Ibrahim Saad Al-Mohizea, Vice President for food affairs presented a topic on “The challenges and difficulties that face food safety authorities in the GCC”; the scientific event was attended by a number of specialists from the SFDA.
