​ SFDA signed a Memo of Understanding (MoU) with the National Office for Safety of Food Products Morocco. The purpose of the MoU is to enhance and promote the cooperation between the two countries in the field of safety and quality of food products of animal origin, sea-food products, animal feed and veterinary drugs in both counties.

SFDA held,  at its Head Office in Riyadh today, a Press Conference,  for which it called all Media means in order to explain to them the facts about Similac Gain Plus3 Baby Milk. Through the statement released in the Conference, SFDA sought to remove the Kingdom’s- consumer worries about this milk, whereas SFDA previously issued alerts to clarify some facts.

SFDA continued its business during Eid Al Fiter holidays in its main offices and sub-branches as well as points of entry of food, drug and medical devices & products sectors, in order to complete all clearance processes by SFDA’s inspectors.

H.E. The Chief Executive officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almish’al, SFDA Vice Presidents and accompanying delegation visited yesterday, Tuesday, Saudi Customs and Jeddah Islamic Port where they were received by the Director of Jeddah Islamic Port Customs Department, Mr. Mohammed Al Dakheel and the Director of Jeddah Islamic Port, Mr. Sahir Tahlawi and a number of executives.

With the advent of the holy month of Ramadan and in line with SFDA’s Awareness Policy in the field of food and drug, SFDA organized an awareness campaign communicated through social media channels (Twitter, facebook) as well as audiovisual media.

SFDA organized a blood donation campaign in coordination with King Faisal Specialist Hospital Blood Bank in Riyadh which lasted for three days, started Monday 22/8/1434H. H.E. The Chief Executive Officer, DR.

H.E. Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almish’al visited Ports Corporation on Sunday 22/7/1434, where he was welcomed by H.E. Ports Corporation CEO, Engineer, Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Tuwijri. They exchanged friendly talks and topics of mutual interests while the visitor listened to a briefing on Ports Corporation Work Procedure

​SFDA achieved the second place of the Top Saudi Business Environments for Government Organizations for the year 2013 as  Al Eqtisadiyah Referee Board named five winner- government organizations, after a strong competition between 100 organizations, among which SFDA was declared Second.
