انضمت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء ممثلة بقطاع الأجهزة والمنتجات الطبية إلى (نظام تبادل إنذارات السلامة) للأجهزة والمنتجات الطبية و المعروف بـ( Safety Alert Dissemination System, SADS ) ،الخاص بمجموعة عمل التجانس الآسيوي ( AHWP ) والتي تضم 16 دولة ، وتعتبر المملكة العضو الثاني بعد هونج كونج في الإنضمام لنظام تبادل إنذارات السلامة (SADS).

الجدير بالذكر أن الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء عضو في مجموعة عمل التجانس الآسيوي (AHWP) للأجهزة والمنتجات الطبية وممثلة في اللجان الفنية بالمجموعة منذ يونيو 2006.

نظم قطاع الغذاء بالهيئة ورشة عمل عن " المواصفات واللوائح الفنية للمبيدات " وذلك يوم الأحد 19/12/1430هـ الموافق 6/12/2009م بقاعة المحاضرات الرئيسية بالهيئة ، قدمها نائب المدير العام بإدارة سلامة الأغذية المجرية الدكتور / أرباد أمبروس وتناولت الورشة طرق تقييم بقايا المبيدات وطرق تقدير حدودها القصوى في الأغذية ، وقد شارك بالحضور العديد من ممثلي الدوائر الحكومية و المؤسسات ذات العلاقة ومنسوبي الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء .

ضمن برنامج قطاع الدواء بالهيئة العامة للغذاء و الدواء لاعتماد كافة التعاملات بشكل إلكتروني, و تطبيقًا لبرنامج الحكومة الإلكترونية يقوم قطاع الدواء بالهيئة العامة للغذاء و الدواء بعقد لقاء مفتوح لعرض بعض الأنظمة الإلكترونية لقطاع الدواء و هي : النظام الوطني لتسجيل المنشآت الصيدلانية National Registry Drug Establishment , نظام رصد الأعراض الجانبية للأدوية ADRs Reporting system , وذلك الساعة التاسعة صباحًا يوم الثلاثاء 28 ذو الحجة 1430هـ الموافق 15 ديسمبر 2009م, في قاعة المحاضرات, بمقر الهيئة الرئيسي في مدينة الرياض.

On Saturday 2/1/1431 AH, the Drug Sector of SFDA started licensing of Drug Wholesale Stores by virtue of SFDA Regulations that stipulated the transfer of all drug regulatory, executive and control functions to SFDA.
To facilitate the licensing process, all application forms, licensing conditions and requirements are now located in SFDA Portal under Drug Sector Regulations item. Applications can be directly submitted to SFDA (Registration Department Building) in Riyadh, or sending them by mail to the following address:

HRH Prince Sulman bin Abdul Aziz received at his office in Riyadh Governorate H.E Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal , President of Saudi Food & Drug Authority and a number of SFDA senior management, general managers and directors who came to greet His Royal Highness.

H.E Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal , President of Saudi Food & Drug Authority, received at his office today, a delegation from UAE’s Ministry of Health comprising Dr. Salem Al Barmaki, the acting General Director of the Ministry of Health and Dr. Nariman Al Mulla, Consultant to HE Health Minister, in order to view and benefit from the Saudi Food & Drug experience in this field.

The Drug Safety & Alerts department of the Saudi FDA intends to organize a series of awareness and educational workshops targeting Health specialists including doctors, pharmacists and nurses to introduce them to the department’s role . The workshops will be held in several hospitals in Riyadh, at the first stage, and then will be generalized at the Kingdom’s level.

The Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) will participate in a one –day scientific forum that will be organized by the Nutrition Department of the Ministry of Health, under the auspice of HE Minister of Health , Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabiya’h, entitled “Food that have Alleged Medication”, on Wednesday 27/01/1431AH , corresponding to 13/01/2010G at King Fahad Cultural Center

H.E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabiya’h, Health Minister, Chairman of Health Services Council visited SFDA on Sunday 24/1/1431AH. His Excellency the Minister and the members of Health Services Council viewed SFDA strategy and the planning and building methodology adopted by SFDA, for several years , related to Food, Drug and Medical Devices Sectors, their goals, objectives and the business approach implemented by SFDA; and its challenging plans aiming to be present at all points of entry throughout the Kingdom.
