The Chief Executive Officer of SFDA Received the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom and Emphasized: ‘Our Electronic Systems Made Our Procedures Easier’

The Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mr. Neil Hawkins, visited SFDA and met with H.E the Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal. The two parties have discussed, in the presence of the First Secretary of the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Mr. Ian Dickson and The Director of International Cooperation Department of SFDA, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Ghariri, the means of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of exporting food and drug to the Kingdom. Dr. Almishal highlighted the efforts exerted by SFDA in migration to electronic transactions which made procedures more easy for food and drug exporters to the Kingdom.

Mr. Hawkins admired the quality and accuracy of the services provided by SFDA and added that the embassy does not face any difficulty in explaining food and drug exporting procedures to the interested Australian exporters. He pointed out that 7 organizations are interested in Halal Slaughter in Australia, in the different provinces. He continued,” We discussed with the Australian Government the expansion of meat exports to Islamic countries, according to Sharia requirements of such countries”​
