The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), in collaboration with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is hosting the third meeting of the Heads of National Medicines Regulatory Authorities (NMRAs) of OIC Member States. Under the theme “Advancing Medicine Regulation and R&D Ecosystems: Pathways to Regulatory Maturity,” the meeting will take place on December 17-18 at the SFDA headquarters in Riyadh.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) is participating in the global pharmaceutical exhibition, the Convention on Pharmaceutical Ingredients (CPHI) Middle East, sponsored and supported by the Saudi Ministry of Health. The event will be held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center from December 10 to 12, 2024, featuring participation from over 100 countries, 150 speakers, and 400 exhibitors representing major local and international pharmaceutical companies.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has signed a cooperation agreement with the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) to enhance the national safety database owned by the SFDA. The goal is to support safety research related to pharmaceutical products, contributing to regulatory decisions based on scientific evidence that improve community health and safety.
