Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has participated in the 45th semi-annual meeting of the International Council for Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH), which was held in Incheon, South Korea, with the participation of Saudi specialists and experts.

His Excellence the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, headed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delegation participating in the annual summit of the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) held in Ireland.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has explored opportunities to benefit from the experience of the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) in Dublin in supporting local biotechnology companies, with the aim of transferring these successful experiences to the Kingdom.

This came during the visit of a delegation from the Authority headed by His Excellency the CEO, Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, to the institute, aiming at strengthening relations with similar international bodies.

His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Dr. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhey met recently with President of Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI) Dr. Klaus Cichutek.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of controlling vital medicines and its laboratories, research and training, and exchanging knowledge and scientific consultations.

Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) participated in the World Food Day, which falls on October 16 of each year.

The SFDA organized workshops, seminars and scientific lectures, and launched an awareness campaign on its social media platforms, coinciding with World Food Day.
