SFDA Concluded an agreement with Michigan University for cooperation in the Field of Food Safety Control. SFDA was represented in this agreement by H.E. Dr. Ibrahim bin Saad Al Mehaizie, VP for Food Sector, while Dr. G. I. Grey, Deputy Chairman for Research & Post Graduate Studies, represented Michigan University.
H.E. The Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal visited SFDA Branch Office in Dammam, East Region, where he reviewed the work flow, progress and mechanism and the level of inspection work at the Branch.
Saudi Food & Drugs Authority organized “Eid Al Adha” reception party at its Head Office, Saturday 18/12/1433H. The Reception party was attended by H.E. CEO of the Saudi Food & Drug Authority Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal and a number of SFDA VPs, Senior Staff and employees. The attendees exchanged Eid greetings and socialized during this event wishing this country continuous pride, welfare, dignity and prosperity while wishing the same for Arab and Islamic World.
Saudi Food & Drug Authority participated in the 12th. conference of Control Authorities Professional for medical devices & products in Seattle, USA during the period 27-30 October 2012. Dr. Saleh bin Sulaiman Al Tayar, SFDA VP and Chairman of AHWG for medical devices and products, represented the Kingdom in this conference.
تنظم الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء ممثلة بقطاع الدواء "إدارة توعية المستهلك" خلال الفترة المسائية من إجازة عيد الأضحى ولمدة أسبوعين متتاليين مشروعاً علمياً تثقيفياً حول المستحضرات الصيدلانية والعشبية ومنتجات التجميل وذلك في مركز صحاري مول التجاري بمدينة الــرياض .ويهدف المشروع التعريف بالهيئة وطرق التواصل معها بالإضافة إلى تعريف الزوار بالطرق الصحيحة لتخزين الأدوية والأخطاء الشائعة في استخدامها, وتقديم نصائح صيدلانية مختلفة حول الأدوية البشرية والمستحضرات العشبية والصحية ومنتجات التجميل بشكل عام .
Saudi Food & Drug Authority, represented by Food Sector, organized a work shop for launching Phase II of “Enhancement of Imported Food Control Program” in collaboration with GIZ on Wednesday, 17/11/1433H at SFDA main Auditorium in Riyadh.
KSA, represented by Saudi Food & Drug Authority, participated in the Second Global Conference for Medical Devices & Products Control Executives, Sydney, Australia during the period 25-27 September 2012. The conference included in its membership GHTF founding states viz USA, Canada, EU, Australia and Japan, in addition to Brazil. World Health Organization participated in this conference as an Observer.
HRH Prince Sulman bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques & Chairman of SFDA Board of Directors, received today at his office at the Royal Diwan, Al Salam Palace, Jeddah, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Kanhal, SFDA President and SFDA’s Senior Executives.
