The S.F.D.A (represented by its drug sector) participated in the workshop of pharmaceutical products intellectual property which is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh, on Sunday the 12th of Rabee Athanee, 1428H, corresponding to the 29th of April, 2007.
His Excellency d. Saleh Bawazeer the vice president of drug affairs, d. Hajed bin Mohammed bin Hashan the manager of registration department and pharmacist Bassam Alawn attended the workshop.

The S.F.D.A intranet portal visitors () have doubled in the last four months. During the last January, the number of visits reached (9105), while in April, it peaked at more than nineteen thousand visit. The largest number of visitors in April from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were (8309). Egypt came second with (3082) visitors, then the USA with (1204) visitors. The UAE, Morocco, Britain and Japan came after.

The SFDA, represented by its medical devices and products sector, participated in the sixth meeting of the technical committees that belong to the Asian Harmonization Working Party (AHWP) which was held in Hong Kong during the 25th to the 27th of April, 2007.

تنظم اللجنة الزراعية بالغرفة التجارية الصناعية بالرياض بحضور وزير الزراعة الدكتور فهد بن عبدالرحمن بالغنيم غدا اللقاء الخامس للتسويق الزراعي تحت عنوان: « العولمة» بمقر الغرفة بالرياض.

D. Mohammed bin Ahmed Alkanhal the executive acting president of the SFDA stated that the survey of monitoring food sector foreign workers revealed that it is a big challenge to the SFDA since several organizations are carrying out this duty and food laboratories of land borders need reframing.

A number of SFDA employees has completed a first aid course given by the Saudi Red Crescent Assembly cooperating with the administrative services department. The course was held in the main hall of the SFDA and attended by more than thirtee employee from SFDA different sectors. It lasted three days averaging three hours daily and varied from practical to theoretical lessons.
The trainees learnt the basics of how to save lives of victims, how to offer first aid while protecting oneself and what are life threatening cases and indications.

Since the SFDA believe in importance of improving systems and laws of food in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and within the project of setting a Saudi food law draft, the SFDA organized a meeting entitled '' Food Law- a Comparative Study of International Systems'' on Sunday 3-5-1427H, corresponding to 20-5-2007. D. Dived Jukes, food law specialist who participated in setting laws of food in many countries, delivered the speech.
