SFDA Participates in the Scientific Forum entitled:“Food that have alleged Medication”

The Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) will participate in a one –day scientific forum that will be organized by the Nutrition Department of the Ministry of Health, under the auspice of HE Minister of Health , Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabiya’h, entitled “Food that have Alleged Medication”, on Wednesday 27/01/1431AH , corresponding to 13/01/2010G at King Fahad Cultural Center

SFDA will participate by a paper about the current and future regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia governing food with alleged medication, through clarification of SFDA legislative, control, and implementation roles

The gathering aims to introduce the useful food and food products in treatment of diseases, the types of food with alleged medication and their usage under medical consultation; and development of scientific recommendations. The forum consists of three scientific sessions in addition to one session for discussion through participation by several concerned specialized entities, private institutions and private hospitals. The forum targets workers in nutrition field, Nutritionists, Pediatricians, Internal medicine doctors, Pharmacists, Health Supervisors, Producers, Suppliers..etc. It worth mentioning that the forum is accredited by the Saud Health Professions Authority, at 6 hour continuous education

This forum will be attended by several scientists and professional experts in this field, from various public and private entities. The forum activities will also include a specialized food & health awareness exhibition participated by several entities from the public and private sectors.
