اختتم مؤتمر الشرق الأوسط لتنظيم الأدوية دورته السابعة والمنعقد في مدينة دبي في دولة الأمارات العربية المتحدة في الفترة من 22 الى 25/10/1427هـ ألموافق 13-16/11/2006م
, و قد شارك في المؤتمر كافة دول الخليج و أغلب الدول العربية بالاضافة إلى إيران و ممثلين للشركات الخليجية و العربية وكذلك شركات الأدوية العالمية من أغلب دول العالم مثل أمريكا الشمالية، فرنسا، بريطانيا، ألمانيا، النرويج، بلجيكا وغيرها من دول العالم.

SFDA has participated in the Second Annual Conference of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) to antimicrobial resistance and optimal use of antimicrobial drug for animal health, held in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco.

His Excellency the CEO of SFDA Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey expressed his hope that the OIC Member States cooperate jointly in the field of drugs and vaccines.

​Saudi Food and Drug Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh to establish pharmacovigilance office, which will be directly connected to the National Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety Center in the Authority.

SFDA was represented by Dr. Adel Al-harf, Vice President for Drug Sector and the Security Forces Hospital was represented by Dr. Suleiman Al-Suhaimi for the signature of the agreement.

His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Mishal Inaugurated the International Regulatory Commission of Herbal Drugs (IRCH) meeting, in the presence of 33 professionals from Riyadh.
