 SFDA won, being the first government entity in the Kingdom, the Approved Technical Support Provider Award approved by HDI. This certificate is granted to IT Technical Support Centers in recognition of their excellence, efficiency and quality of services provided to customers. This certificate is based on applying internationally recognized standards developed and approved by Global Specialist Commission in the field of technical support.

H.E  The Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal, received at SFDA’s Head Office the Polish Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mr. Vitold Schemoviski and Mr. Marik Milariski, the Commercial Chancellor, and the accompanying delegation. The meeting was also attended by H.E. SFDA VP for Food Sector, Dr.

H.E  The Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal valued the Cabinet Decision regarding "Energy Drinks", and described this decision as  "Strict Control" to reduce the risks of this drink. This decision is to protect the citizens, particularly the youth, as they are the segment that will be affected by "deceptive" Energy Drinks ads. and he said that this move by the Council of Ministers, was based on the scientific studies on the components of these drinks.

The meeting was also attended by H.E. SFDA VP for Food Sector, Dr. Salah Almiman and Engineer Abdul Rahman Al Ghareeri, the Executive Director for International Cooperation and a number of SFDA Executives. H.E.
