تجري الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء عملية السحب على أسماء الفائزين بجوائز الحملة الوطنية الأولى للتوعية بسلامة الغذاء يوم الثلاثاء 15/2/1430هـ الموافق 10/2/2009 وسيتم إعلان أسماء الفائزين يوم السبت 19/2/1430هـ الموافق 14/2/2009.
هذا وتتقدم الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء بالشكر لجميع المشاركين في هذه المسابقة التوعوية.

During a ceremony held by the SFDA on Wednesday the 15th of Safar, 1429H that equals the 10th of February, 2009, to honor effective participants in the competition of the first national campaign of food safety awareness which entitled "No for Food Poisoning", the SFDA has withdrawn names of winners.

أعرب معالي الأستاذ الدكتور محمد بن احمد الكنهل عن اعتزازه بالثقة الملكية الغالية بتعيينه رئيساً تنفيذياً للهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء.

ورفع الكنهل أسمى آيات الشكر والعرفان لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز ولسمو ولي عهده الأمين صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سلطان بن عبدالعزيز نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الدفاع والطيران رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء على هذه الثقة الملكية الغالية الكريمة التي حظي بها.

The last poll raised in the SFDA intranet portal was about the issue of being infected with food poisoning and to what extent it affects people, results showed big increase in number of infection cases. 15.20% of participants were infected alone by food poisoning, while 22.39% of them were infected with some of their family members. Therefore, 37.59% of people from 3501 participatnts in the poll had caught the infection. Yet, 62.41% had no any infection.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamad bin Ahmad Alkanhal, Executive President of the SFDA welcomed the delegation of the GCC Standardization Organization headed by its Secretary General Dr. Anwar Alabdullah. During the meeting, which was attended by SFDA senior officials, both sides reviewed recent and future plans and strategies which revealed several fields of cooperation and integration between both sides.

In cooperation with the SFDA, King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital organizes the annual sixth symposium for health education entitled: "Health Education for Consumer Protection, Where is the Path?" from 11-12 of Rabee Athani, 1430H, 7-8 of April, 2009, in the hospital headquarter, within the program of continuous learning which is adopted by the hospital, aiming to focus on the concept of consumer protection in health cases as well as its importance, raising the employees qualification scientifically and professionally to activate their efforts in order to accomplish

Since revealing facts is the mission of the SFDA, it likes to point out to reports of environmental and health organizations in the USA and some Asian countries which included warnings toward numbers of children care products as they contain residues of 1,4-Dioxane and formaldehyde in different rates; which considered cancerous compounds.

شاركت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء متمثلة في قطاع الغذاء في ورشة عمل "تحليل المخاطر" في مدينة أبو ظبي بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة والمنعقدة خلال الفترة من 16-17/5/1430هـ الموافق 11-12/5/2009م , كما شاركت الهيئة في تنظيم ورشة العمل مع الأمانة العامة لدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وجهاز أبو ظبي للرقابة الغذائية.

ويشارك في هذه الورشة علاوة على لجنة سلامة الأغذية لدول مجلس التعاون مجموعة من المختصين في مجال سلامة الأغذية من دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي كما دُعي إليها نخبة من الخبراء العالميين في مجال تحليل المخاطر الغذائية بالإضافة لممثلين من قبل قطاع الغذاء بالهيئة .
